Griffin Security Group Consultant Attains ISMS Lead Auditor Status

Griffin Security Group is delighted to announce that Andy Usher has recently attained BSI ISMS Lead Auditor status after successfully passing his exams in April 2009.

Andy joined Griffin Security Group in January 2008 after leaving the RAF after a full Service career. Whilst in the RAF Police Andy served both in the UK and overseas providing advice and guidance regarding all matters pertaining to information assurance as well the production of risk management accreditation document sets for sensitive military information communications technology systems. Andy experiences in the Service have provided him with a wide range skills and experiences in security management

As a information security consultant at the Griffin Security Group Andy has been employed on HMG contracts providing advice and guidance to ensure compliance with the ISO/IEC27001:2005 as well as the Security Policy Framework. More recently Andy has worked very closely with clients in the financial sector conducting gap analysis and document reviews as well as ensuring data handling procedures meet the stringent standards of the FSA.

Griffin Security Group is committed to ensure that all its consultants are trained to the highest standards so that clients receive the most up-to-date support, guidance and direction. Indeed, one consultant is currently attending a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) whilst others boast certificates in Lead Auditor, Prince 2 Project Management, CESG CLAS and CISMP (Certificate in Information Security Management Principles.)
